EEEKCelebration of Light Announces 2016 Program
The Honda Celebration of Light has just announced their 2016 program! The Netherlands (Saturday, July 23), Australia (Wednesday, July 27) and the United States (Saturday, July 30) will compete in this year’s fireworks spectacle over English Bay.
The Walt Disney Company will produce this year’s display for the United States and this will be the first time a team from the Netherlands will compete in the Celebration of Light.
This year’s LG 104.3 ShoreFest on English Bay Beach will be headlined by Loverboy.
Last year, over one million people watched the Celebration of Light, including 500,000 people during Team Canada’s winning presentation. The fireworks festival generates approximately $37 million in local economic activity annually.
The Honda Celebration of Light has been one of the West End’s signature summer events since 1990.
