English Bay, Stanley Park and Downtown Vancouver: The West End is perfectly situated between the city’s best-loved and most popular destinations. The world-famous Stanley Park (and its wrap-around seawall) is literally the West End’s backyard. English Bay makes the Pacific Ocean accessible to everyone, year-round. And Downtown Vancouver is at our doorstep.


Our enviable location has lead to high demand, amazing residential density and wonderful diversity of people, businesses and experiences. Over the past century, the three commercial streets of Davie, Denman and Robson connected everything together.


Simply put, the West End is the city’s most iconic neighbourhood. It is West Coast living at its best.

Our History

The West End Business Improvement Association (WEBIA) is a non-profit society created in 1999 to support local economic development. The initial catchment area for the BIA was three blocks along Davie Street known as ‘Davie Village.’ In 2007, the BIA expanded to include 21 blocks along Davie, Denman and Robson Streets within the West End of Vancouver.


The WEBIA is governed by a volunteer board of directors. Directors are elected from the businesses and property owners within our boundaries. The board refocused its mission in 2012 to be the following: ‘To brand, promote and revitalize the West End.

West End Community Plan

In 2013, after 18 months of community consultation, City Council approved the West End Community Plan. The plan builds on the West End’s reputation as a vibrant, diverse, walkable, and densely populated community surrounded by world-class parks, beaches and the Central Business District.


The West End comprises 204 hectares, making up 35% of the downtown peninsula (not including Stanley Park). It is situated between West Georgia Street, Burrard Street, Stanley Park and English Bay. It’s main commercial streets are Davie, Denman and Robson.


The community has around 50,000 residents, 23,000 jobs, and millions of annual visitors.

Expanded in 2007, the West End Business Improvement Association (WEBIA) is an independent, non-profit association created by businesses along the West End’s three primary commercial streets: Davie, Denman and Robson.


Our Mission: To brand, promote and revitalize the West End.


Our Vision: To have a powerful, distinctive and unifying brand to better promote the West End. The neighborhood is renowned for attractive commercial streets, very low crime and an appealing mix of businesses. Organizationally, WEBIA is one of the best lead and managed Business Improvement Associations with a well-informed and engaged membership.
