Did you know that the baking team at COBS Bread (1160 Davie Street) is one of Canada’s best? Yep, it’s true. Owned and operated by Brinder Bains, this franchise location was the recent winner of the COBS Bread Regional Baking Competition (Spring 2016) winning Best Bakery – 1st place in British Columbia and 1st place in Canada!

In particular, their uber-yummy Cape Seed Loaf ran away with first place! Brinder Bains and team are proud of the accomplishment.

“I’m incredibly proud of my hard working baking team. My bakers start at 3:00am to make sure product is ready for the customer at 7:00am,” noted Brinder Bains. “All unsold product is donated to one of 8 different charities in the community, ensuring that every item we serve at COBS Bread is baked fresh every day.”

Anyone who has been to COBS Bread will know that they serve a range of healthy, whole grain breads baked from scratch daily with no added sugar or preservatives, in addition to a wide array of sweet and savoury treats.

With Vancouver Pride and Celebration of Light just around the corner, the team at COBS Bread have plenty in store including a range of hamburger and hot dogs buns, and all sorts of breads and pastries to accompany BBQs, picnics, and gatherings of all kinds. The COBS Bread baking team also have a little fun with rainbow colours around this time of year… Stop in to see what they’ve been up to!

Can’t make it to Davie Street? No problem. There’s a second West End location at 1702 Robson Street.
