As part of our partnership with Tangoo, we’ve been checking out a few of the West End’s hottest dining spots with some of Vancouver’s top digital influencers. Our latest exploration took us to Fiona Grieve’s second West End eatery, Grotto (1725 Davie Street) for dinner.

Like Fiona Grieve’s first restaurant Buckstop (833 Denman Street), Grotto’s concept is simple and fresh. Lead by Chef Dan Lindsey, the menu features classic Italian dishes including pizza, pasta and a variety of mouth-watering mains. All food is made in-house and from scratch by Chef Dan and his team.

Our Tangoo tasters were offered a variety of Grotto’s dishes including the Humboldt Squid with housemade sausage, roasted eggplant, olives, tomatoes, lemon and parsley; the ossobucco with saffron risotto, gremolata and oven dried tomato; and the gnocchi with smoked chicken, pork belly, mushroom ragout and crispy celery root. Pair these dishes with Grotto’s fantastic amaro-based cocktails, and you’ve got a table of happy people.

Dark, cozy and intimate Grotto is open Sundays to Tuesdays from 5:00pm–12:00am and Wednesdays to Saturdays from 5:00pm–1:30am. They also deliver. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out Grotto very soon!
