As part of an initiative to connect the West End neighbourhood with their local creative community, Single Line Theatre and local residents have come together to create “Verse & Verve” – a fresh and upbeat showcase of independent musical artists and performers in Vancouver’s West End.

Verse and Verve’s premiere episode features singer-songwriter Peter Konrad, a soulful talent whose songs capture the ups and downs of life with unflinching candour. While his compositions span many genres, from sombre ballads to upbeat dance anthems, they are held firmly together by infectious melodies and thought provoking lyrics that dive into complex themes like love, loss, and transcending adversity. Beginning his music career in Toronto, he has had the opportunity to perform nationwide, from Anti-Bullying Functions in Alberta to Pride events throughout Toronto and Vancouver.

The video captures Peter performing live at the corner of Comox and Denman on a public piano supplied by Pianos on the Street – a local outdoor piano project that aims to change the world through the power of music.
