Kevin Lin, proprietor of the recently renovated Argan Bistro, formerly Morocco West at 795 Jervis St. recently introduced a fresh concept, new Chef and some brand new menus.

A new addition to the West End just off Robson Street, Argan Bistro is a modern eatery with a lively and charming atmosphere. Specializing in Pacific Northwest fare, fresh local ingredients are transformed with a seductive flair from farm to table. With an alluring combination of style and elegance, the menu is no stranger to the perfect marriage of beauty and taste.

Taking the role as Executive Chef is Jeff Miller an Alberta native who first moved to Vancouver in 1989. Armed with a Douglas College education in the culinary arts and restaurant management, Jeff took his first big step into the industry at the Horizon Restaurant on Burnaby Mountain. He would later set sail to work at notable local favourites from Feenie’s to Jean Georges’ Market at the prestigious Shangri-la Hotel in Vancouver.

“To me, food is what brings people together, Jeff notes. “It is a language that speaks in flavours, textures and aromas that can remind us of the nurturing moments in our lives. Food is my art, my craft, my tool of expression that I use to communicate my interpretation of the beauty I experience.”

Most recently at the Waldorf Hotel as the Executive Chef of Nonna’s Table, Jeff is ready for a new challenge at Argan Bistro where he is planning to launch seasonally changing menus of West Coast shared plates using fresh sustainable products from local farmers and fisherman.
