Tuesday has become the new Sunday Funday. Don’t believe us? Check out Evo Summer Cinema Series and experience the fun for yourself!

8. It’s in the heart of the West End

Sit back, relax, and take in the true beauty of the West End in none other than Stanley Park, voted last year as one of the world’s best parks, a title that is well earned. With neighbouring Second Beach, it’s guaranteed the most stunning and picturesque location you’ll ever watch a movie (and a sure-fire way to impress a date).

7. It’s Super Inclusive

An all-ages event, everyone from your BFF to your grandma and even your four-legged fur babies are welcome. All movies are rated PG. #FamilyFriendly

6. Fun Contests and Giveaways

Win Dinner and VIP seating giveaways by taking part in fun contests, including Snapchat picture submissions and weekly surprise challenges! You can also win big with Nat and Drew from the Nat and Drew Show simply by attending the movies and by tuning in to 103.5 QMFM.

5. It’s FREE!

This city is expensive enough so if you can save money and have a good time, that’s definitely worth celebrating! The Evo Summer Cinema Series is the most affordable Tuesday night outing. All you have to bring is a blanket or a lawn chair and a lively spirit! In the event that you do forget seating and don’t care to sit directly on the grass, blankets are available for purchase.

4. VIP Seating and Packages Available

If you want to ball out, it’s going to cost you a cool $22.53 to reserve a seat in the new Gold Circle VIP Seating Zone! Also available is the sweet option of a Dinner and a Movie package with restaurants in the West End like Milestone’s Grill & Bar (1210 Denman Street), The Three Brits (1780 Davie Street) and Hub Restaurant (1037 Denman Street) among many others participating.

3. Make an adventure out of it and tour the West End before the movies

Got time before the movies? Stroll down colourful Davie Street, Denman Street or Robson Street and stop into one of the many restaurant and bars and grab a bevvie with friends beforehand! (If you happen to drop into Forage (1300 Robson Street), ask J.D. to whip you up one of his amazing classic cocktails. And tell him that Populist sent you!)

2. Concession Stands on Site

Grab a bite from one of the many food trucks on site or from the concession stand where you can get yourself some popcorn – because no movie is complete without popcorn.

1. Great Movie Line-up

When was the last time you watched The Little Mermaid, Napolean Dynamite, or Dirty Dancing? The line-up this year is nothing short of fantastic and in addition to the aforementioned films, features classics such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Space Jam, Labyrinth, and Purple Rain!

Evo Summer Cinema Series runs until August 23. For tickets and details, click here.

We recently invited Rebecca Traub and Blanca Blandon of Populist to check out the EVO Summer Cinema Series and blog about their experience. Watch out for more from “Bec and Blanca” very soon. –West End BIA
